As suggested yesterday, Hammers are believed to have made a bid in the region of £8 million for Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, although it is feared Boro may want almost double that figure. Despite this bookmakers have suspended betting due the belief that West Ham United will sign the ex Barcelona player.
Yesterday saw a newspaper break the news that Stephen Hendrie has left the Hammers by mutual consent and Rafael Spegiel appearing to be on the way out too. There may well be more departures out of East London too with a number of Premier League clubs interested in taking Robert Snodgrass off the Hammer’s books with the likes of newly promoted sides Brighton and Huddersfield said to be interested parties.
It is also believed that Sofiane Fegouli may also leave if the right offer came in for the Algerian. If the club do see any attacking midfielders depart then the Hammers may well look at bringing in Southampton’s Tadic or Jonathan Cafu, a player that plays for Ludogorets whom played in the Europa League last season. It is believed many clubs have been scouting the player for some time including West Ham United.
The Hammers are said to still be interested in Henry Onyekuru but as suggested the other day there could be complications with the player being able to obtain a work visa.
Another Nigerian that The Hammers have been linked with is more known to fans having played in the Premier League for a while now. The stumbling block in negotiations are said to be Manchester City demanding a buy back clause for Kelechi Iheanacho. It looks like Leicester City may be more welcome to entertain The Citizen’s buy back clause but West Ham haven’t completely closed to door on the possibility of signing the Nigerian.
Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud appears to be West Ham’s top target now with the French international seemingly not having a future at The Emirates. As mentioned before The Hammers have stated they will look to match any offer and the striker said to prefer a move to a London club as he’s settled in London.
TheWestHamWay have been running pre match events before home games for the past year, next season they already have planned appearances from Bobby Zamora, Alan Devonshire and Billy Bonds for the upcoming season.
