As reported by a well known West Ham ITK blogger, for a while now it seemed that the former Borussia Mönchengladbach player would be on his way out of London with a return to Germany looking most likely with several teams in the German Bundesliga showing interest. Today Hoffenheim completed the signing of the 26 year old on a five year deal, the fee is undisclosed but we do know that with the Norwegian off the books it frees up some more funds and wages for Slaven Bilic.
Hoffenheim finished fourth last season, their highest league finish and will be playing in the Champions League if they can win their play off to qualify.
Håvard will he leaving The Hammers after just twelve months in East London, making 21 appearances for the club. The versatile midfielder earnt mixed reviews during his short stint at the club but personally I can not be too critical due the fact Håvard played out of position on so many occasions, besides the whole team underperformed last season.
